The main feature of the PG 340 USB ring/disc potentiostat is it’s design as a double potentiostat which allows to control two independent working-electrodes. This not only provides the tools to control rotating ring-disc electrodes, which are almost essential for the thorough study of mechanisms and kinetics of electrochemical reactions; it also allows the control of ultramicro-electrodes and the performance of generator- and collector- electrode techniques in such innovative technologies as the Scanning Electrochemical Microscope (SECM).

In addition to these features the PG 340 USB offers the same exceptional advantages as the PG 310 USB or PG 390 USB. The system is completely controlled by a computer. This allows for the simplification and automation of experimental procedures and gives enormous flexibility for future extensions .

The PG 340 USB features state-of-the-art amplifier technology. This includes amplification ranges for large currents up to 2A, new hardware filters and a headstage design (optional) to reduce noise levels for very small currents down to the pA range.

The integration of the PG 340 USB amplifier with the LIH 8+8 AD/DA interface and the connected computer (via USB 2.0) constitutes a further step in the minimization of total recording noise. The system is completely decoupled by optical isolation.

Additionally, the digital control achieved by running our dedicated software creates a powerful tool, enabling precise measurement. The versatility of the amplifier and it’s superb technical specifications allow you to perform virtually every electrochemical experiment. Therefor the PG 340 is the instrument of choice for industrial and scientific research.
