The PG 390 USB with it’s compliance voltage of ±90V and a maximum current of ±1A is specially designed for experiments in low conductive electrolytes while the PG 310 USB with a compliance voltage of ±10V and a maximum current of 2A is suitable for virtually any electrochemical experiment and can be equipped with an external preamplifier to work in current ranges down to pA.

The most significant advance of the PG 300 USB series is the adjustment and control of the amplifier at the software level. This allows for the simplification and automation of experimental procedures and gives enormous flexibility for future extensions All mechanical switches are replaced by digital control, thus being wear-resistant. Consequently the scan-generator, oscilloscope, and filter-control are also digitized. There is no need for additional and costly hardware.

The instant automatic versatile and easy-to-use macro features yield measurements of the highest quality, all while retaining the possibility of full manual control of the amplifier on a virtual level.

The integration of the PG 300 USB amplifier with the LIH 8+8 AD/DA interface and the connected computer constitutes a significant step in the minimization of total recording noise. The system is completely decoupled by optical isolation. Due to the intrinsic low noise level of the PG 300 USB itself, complemented by the low current headstage (PG 310 USB only), this integrated system effectively eliminates interference, that often arise from ground loops in conventional systems.

The PG 310/390 USB combined with a computer and with our POTMASTER software is equivalent to a fully equipped measuring set-up consisting of a potentiostat/galvanostat, a digital storage oscilloscope, a variable analog filter, a sophisticated pulse generator and a fully featured data acquisition and analysis system.
