HEKA is the official distributor of the complete line of products from the Sutter Instruments Company.

Located in Novato, California, the Sutter Instruments Company has been manufacturing precision instrumentation since 1974. The company has a broad range of interests in biomedical research instrumentation, including micropipette fabrication devices, micropositioning devices and a full range of optical filter wheels.

HEKA is pleased to announce the release of new Sutter products:

  • P-1000 Micropipette Puller. Developed through years of experience with the Flaming/Brown style micropipette pullers and infused with leading edge technology, Sutter is proud to introduce the P-1000 micropipette puller. The most obvious new feature is the color touchscreen display that provides an intuitive and full-featured interface.

  • Lambda XL Extended Life Light Source. The new Lambda XL is a broad spectrum light source with an expected bulb life of 15,000 hours -- many times that of any comparable light source.

  • NEW MT-78 / MT-78-FS Designed for experiments where a large single stage is dictated, the MT-78 or MT-78-FS large-stage platforms provide solid, stable support and ample space to attach manipulators and other instruments as needed. The rigid aluminum top plate sits firmly on two of our well-known MT-75 gantry-style stands. These stands provide height adjustment and sturdy attachment to the user’s vibration table. Multiple degrees of freedom accommodate a variety of microscope and instrument arrangements.

  • The Lambda 10-3 and Lambda 10-B are new filter wheel controllers with faster switching times. The SmartShutter™ high-performance stepper-motor controlled shutter with opening and closing times as fast as 8 ms from trigger.

  • The versatile and easy-to-use XenoWorks microinjection system designed for pronuclear injection, nuclear transfer, ISCI, and adherent cell injection.

  • The MOM – a Movable Objective Microscope that can be easily converted from an upright to an inverted scope, allowing fixed-stage electrophysiology experiments.

  • The 3DMS – a simple attachment converts a standard Sutter MP-285 manipulator into the 3-Dimensional Motorized Stage. It allows vertical focusing, is compact abd still allows for 25mm of movement in X, Y, and Z axes with micron precision.
