Video-Format Tutorials Overview

In our ongoing efforts to provide excellent customer support, HEKA is creating PatchMaster and FitMaster tutorials in video-format.

Users can now view step-by-step some of the various approaches used in software configuration, acquisition and analysis for everyday applications.

These tutorials should prove to be a very valuable resource for HEKA software users at all levels. HEKA will consistently add to the tutorial database and we welcome user suggestions.

The pulse generator dialog of Patchmaster

This tutorial describes how to add triggers for controlling external devices to a pulse generator sequence.

Single Channel Analysis with FITMASTER

This tutorial describes how to analyse single channel events with Fitmaster. Amplitude histograms and Open/closed time histograms are compiled.

Acquisition and Analysis of Ramp Data with PATCHMASTER

A pulse generator sequence for ramp stimulation/acquisition is created and a corresponding online analysis method plots the recorded current data vs. the theoretical stimulus.

"Math" functions in the Online Analysis of PATCHMASTER

Two mean values from the inital part and end part of a current trace are calculated. Then the difference between these two values is computed and plotted in a graph.

Using Telegraphing Inputs

A lot of patch-clamp amplifier allow to read out the status of certain amplifier settings (e.g. Gain, Filter Bandwidth, Amplifier Mode, C-slow...) while recording the data via their telegraphing outputs. This tutorial shows how to use these telegraphing outputs in combination with the PATCHMASTER software.
